cover songs you hate ?

I dislike (hate is too strong a word) Take On Me by A1. I love a-ha and I'm sorry guys, but A1 just can't match the vocal range of Morten Harket!

Shame really cos I like A1 generally (esp Caught In The Middle - I was pleased to read on the PITP gosip page that Darren likes it too, lol!)

LOL you know what, if I hadn't been so familiar with a-ha's version I would have done too. I actually quite liked the way A1 updated it - although a-ha now do it as a much rockier number that you just HAVE to dance to!

What annoyed me was the way, cos they couldn't reach the notes, they had to jump around the octaves....ok, so do I if I sing it - I can reach the high notes but not the low ones, lol! But I am not a professional singer/group releasing my version as a single, hehehe!

Yeah I agree about Britney...someone shold tell her the whole point of that song is it's a ROCK song...and she just ain't rock and roll enough to carry it off!
